What do you get when you take a British-Greek bride and a British-Nigerian groom? The answer is a spectacular wedding full of music, colours and laughter! The wedding of Caiti and John Moss (updated) – It gave us great joy to make John and Caiti’s documentary wedding photography. The event held at Caiti’s mothers’ fabulous Milton Manor in Midlands, which is often opened to the general public. Three wedding photographers and one assistant needed to capture the ample decoration and shows. We started the work from Friday evening to Sunday noon. The setting was vast and beautiful, with many a water feature and hidden garden.  See more…

A riot of colour, music and dancing – that was just the preparation for Chandni and Pinal’s Asian (Hindu) wedding at the Grand Connaught Rooms in Holborn! Having shot their pre-wedding photos at Lake Vyrnwy in Wales, it was a treat to see this couple tie the knot in London a few weeks later.

In her beautiful blush and gold brocade lehenga choli, Chandni was a stunning bride. Red is an auspicious colour in the Hindu culture, and Chandni incorporated it by wearing thick stacks of red and gold wedding bangles on each wrist. See more…

A wedding at Garden of the Gods (updated) – What happens when a unique couple decide to share the rest of their lives together? This is their wedding photo-story through the eye of my lens.

The documentary wedding photography began with a great invitation I received about a year ago whilst in London, which promised an adventure Garden of the Gods Wedding at the famous Park in Colorado Mountains, with rock climbing and a great deal more besides!

We had already worked with Funda and Serhan on their themed engagement photoshoot, and so we were delighted to have been asked to provide their Turkish wedding photography and Turkish wedding videography as well. Their wedding was a massive event, and the couple wanted us to cover their pre-wedding preparations as well as their ceremony and reception, so the team knew we had a lot to do over the next twelve hours. We have done the photography and videography for hundreds of couples in countless locations, but we have never shot a wedding reception in the National Motorcycle Museum until we were asked to do the Birmingham Greek wedding photography for Eleni and Bradley.

The theme for the wedding was classically romantic, with a pure white colour scheme given sparkle with a liberal application of crystals, diamante and diamonds. We had a team at Eleni’s house to capture the fun and emotion of the Greek-Cypriot Stolisma. See more…

Dimitri and Bobbie chose to celebrate their wedding at Orsett Hall when they tied the knot. Both from Cypriot Greek families, the couple incorporated many recognisable traditions into their big day which started with the Stolisma at their respective family homes. As the bride and groom to be were getting ready at the same time, we used two teams for the wedding photography and video.

If you ever doubt that a wedding, whether a religious celebration of the sacrament of Matrimony is still relevant, then you only need to watch the highlights of this wedding. It is fair to say that See more…

There is no “right” way to host a wedding. With so much scope to personalise every aspect that today’s couples can easily make their big day into precisely what they want. Daisy and Michael are a couple who fully embraced the opportunity, filling their wedding at Pendley Manor with unique touches that really summed up who they are and what their relationship was all about.

At your first glance of the photos or video highlights, you might think that the couple had merely planned a traditional English wedding in the country. See more…

As a destination wedding photographer, I aim to capture the emotions conveyed by the couple as well as their guests, in order to provide an authentic and joyful interpretation of the event along with the beauty of the area. My camera is the means by which these moments are seized, preserved and immortalised. Although every wedding is genuinely unique, there are some moments and some events that truly transcend expectations, in that words would simply fail them. See more…

Island Varkiza – Wedding & Christening (updated) – Travelling just a few kilometres outside of Athens one can encounter this immensely beautiful location; Island Varkiza. An idyllic setting where the sun never fails to shine. Pavlina and Nikos chose to have a dual celebration of their son Miltiadi’s christening and their wedding on the same day. This is a choice many people seem to prefer nowadays. The decoration in Island Varkiza venue was absolutely breathtaking thanks to the work of Krista and Maria Maroulidou from the Guest Book. Being from Crete, the beautiful couple along with their guests indulged in a traditional Greek – Cretan wedding celebration in Athens. A Cretan wedding celebration cannot be considered See more…

Any bride and groom can tell you that one of the most challenging aspects of planning a wedding is making both families happy. As much as it is “their” day, a marriage also represents the joining together of two families, and it is important to incorporate appropriate customs to respect both the bride’s and the groom’s backgrounds, as Natalie and James did when they wed in Kingston-Upon-Thames.

Natalie’s family is British-Greek Cypriot and James’ is British, and their special day was very much a fusion of each heritage. The service took place at St George Greek Orthodox Church in Kingston-Upon-Thames. The early summer weather was See more…

Sometimes being a wedding professional is about creating a fantasy world to help inspire people planning a destination wedding, like this Chateau de Challain wedding shoot organised by the famous wedding planner Seyi Olusanya from Once Upon a Destination. Working first at the magnificent Chateau before moving on to shoot at the renowned Four Seasons Hotel Georges V in Paris was a dream job, and one I enjoyed immensely!

Standing proudly in the Loire Valley, the Chateau de Challain justice is a triumph of proportions and beauty. It was a joy to work my way around the gardens, finding the perfect angle for capturing its symmetry and showcasing the models and their dresses to their best advantage. Two of my favourite shots are both directly facing the facade: one in the daytime, where blue skies and sun make the turrets look like they belong to a fairy-tale castle; and the other taken from the same angle at night, where angry swirling clouds give a moody, almost sinister feel. The wedding photography gallery of Anastasia and Kostas Bikidis. This lovely couple got married at Stuttgart’s Greek Orthodox church (Kirche der Hll. Apostel Petrus und Paulus) and then they celebrated in Stadthalle venue. In the next-day we also had a gorgeous wedding photoshoot at Ludwigsburg’s Palace. I enjoyed so much working in these central European historic surroundings and I was also very lucky that the couple loved Photography process. Thank you guys!

It was such a wonderful experience for myself to be able to photograph, and moreover be present at Caroline’s Chelsea wedding, as she married her husband Gareth at the Chelsea Town Hall office in July.

I loved capturing the moments of her first walking down the street towards me, arriving with Gareth and their two witnesses Sarah and Barry at the offices. All smiles of course! Then the special moments from the process of the booking, through to the ceremony itself. It was lovely to photograph the expressions of their witnesses too. Plus of course the ceremony end. Choosing the smaller registry room for their service, the wedding ceremony was animated and light hearted, which was well suited to both Caroline and Gareth and their relationship with each other, as well as their strong friendships with their fun loving friends Sarah and Barry.

Let me first paint a backdrop of calm sea, bright blue sky and glorious rays of sunshine. This is the beautiful setting of Chalkidiki, Greece that was the unobtrusive witness to a weekend destination wedding celebration. A true Mediterranean marriage of Spanish and Greek family tradition and culture, allow me to introduce Korina and Juan!

Now joined together in marital harmony, Korina, originally from Greece and Juan from Spain, celebrated their beautiful destination wedding in Chalkidiki. Living in central London but with their hearts belonging not just to each other but also to the culture and laid back lifestyle of the Mediterranean cost, it was only natural that they head to Korina’s beloved home-country to say and celebrate their much awaited ‘I do’s’.

The greek wedding of Michaella and Panayiotis in St Sophia and the Four Seasons Hotel in London

The first thing you notice when you meet Michaella and Panagiotis is how much they both smile when they look at each other!

I love the sense of drama that the holiday season adds to a wedding. Weddings are beautiful in their own right, but when you add the colours and sparkle of Christmas together with a magnificent setting, it makes it a pleasure to be a wedding photographer in St Albans.

Gina had her heart set on marrying in St Albans Cathedral and Abbey and was happy to wait for a date to become available. This cathedral holds particular significance for Christians as it is where Britain’s first saint, Alban, is buried. Despite its size, the abbey is a warm and welcoming space, holding not only Church of England services, but also Catholic, Russian Orthodox and Lutheran ones. Gina and Graham could not have made a better choice for their wedding video Hertfordshire. See more…

When both the bride and groom come from a British – Greek Cypriot background, you know the celebrations will not be quiet, and guests invited to attend Andrea and Adam’s wedding at Twelve Apostles Greek church certainly got into the spirit. Even though I was with the couple from the time they were preparing until well into the night, the happiness generated by the couple, their family and friends infused me with energy and made it an enjoyable experience for me as well. The Ukrainian wedding of Oleksandr and Olesya’s took place in London. It is always such a pleasure to photograph events from different cultures and this Orthodox celebration was not an exception. The sense of family and love was very strong and the traditional Ukrainian ceremonies and practices made for such a special day – we feel so grateful to have been a part of it.

As much as I love Photography and Video in London, getting the opportunity to travel abroad is a fantastic treat, especially in my home-country Greece. So it was with enormous excitement that Efthymia and Genti chose our wedding Photography and Videography package for their destination wedding in Greece.

Now living in the US, Efthymia was born in Halkidiki. Her parents still live there so she was able to get ready in her childhood home. Efthymia was a classically beautiful bride in her strapless sweetheart wedding gown with a fabulously full ruffled skirt. The pure white dress was offset sensationally by her bridesmaids, whom she had chosen vivid purple strapless dresses for, and her matron of honour, who wore hot pink. The gardens were full of purple and white flowers, and we had a lot of fun taking photos before the bride, her family, and friends made their way to the church on foot, accompanied by musicians and merriment. As a Greek wedding photographer in London I have photographed many Greek-Cypriot weddings. Some couples adapt customs to fit their more modern lives while others, like Georgina and Evros, retain many elements of their heritage and celebrate their wedding day in a thoroughly traditional manner. Modern or traditional, every couple is unique, which makes my job as a Greek photographer varied and enjoyable.

While the bride and groom were born in London, their parents were born in Cyprus, so it was not surprising to see many traditional included in the occasion. Our day started at Georgina’s home, as her seven bridesmaids helped her get ready for her big day, with the preparation of the bride and groom being almost as important as the wedding ceremony itself. Georgina incorporated the Stolisma into her pre-wedding rituals, complete with the traditional lute and violin. After leaving Georgina to finish getting ready and get herself to the church, I joined the festivities at Evros’ house where his groomsmen were helping him get dressed, and where he was also symbolically tied with a red scarf. A Chelsea Town Hall wedding (updated) – On a lovely summer day we were fortunate enough to photograph the stunning Brydon wedding, held at the Chelsea Town Hall in London. It was an emotional afternoon full of happiness for all. Alexandra was an absolute vision; in a 1950’s style lace belted dress, with a glistening hairpin and striking red suede ankle strapped stiletto shoes. Whilst Tom looked ultra dapper in a full 3 piece navy blue suit. It was wonderful catching the moments of Tom, knowing that Alexandra was slipped behind the corner, where he could not see. It was a wonderful service held at the Chelsea Registry Office (in non-coincidentally the ‘Brydon Room’), with about 20 family guests. The pale yellow room, with large ornate gold mirrors and crystal chandeliers made a wonderful backdrop for the wedding ceremony. The celebrant was light hearted and made the service well suited to Alexandra and Tom’s carefree and vibrant personalities. We loved catching the emotion in the room, including some beautiful tears from Tom’s father, on exchanging of the rings.

Alexandra and Tom Brydon were an absolutely stunning couple and an absolute pleasure to photograph. Here is some of our favourites wedding photos from their Chelsea Town Hall wedding. We wish them all the very best for their many years of marriage to come.

Wedding photographers are a breed apart. But did you know that there are many sub-species within this group, all with their own distinctive habits? Even wildlife presenter David Attenborough would be fascinated to study these strange, wild creatures out in the field.

Bonnie and George chose the De Vere Selsdon Estate as the location for their wedding reception which followed their service at the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Constantine and Saint Helen in Crystal Palace, South London. There could not be two more perfect venues to represent Bonnie’s British and George’s Greek Cypriot heritages than an English country house and a Greek Orthodox Church, and the combination led to some fantastic Greek wedding photography and Greek wedding videography with a very British twist.

The couple wanted us to cover the entire day, so separate teams went to capture the bride and groom as they got ready for the day ahead. Greek weddings are typically large affairs, and

Anna and Christos’ wedding in Birmingham and Leicester was a delight to photograph. We started from Anna’s bridal preparation at her family house in Leicester. In true Greek Cypriot style, my assistant Caroline and I were welcomed into an abundant home buzzing with family and friends of all ages. It was a beautiful wedding day and made for a great setting for shots of our bride, Anna. We did our usual close ups but my favourite was capturing Anna getting ready in her parents bedroom and having her mother and fathers wedding photo in the shot with her. As Greeks we have many traditions and I captured each of them and their intricate details, including the tying of the red scarf and the traditional band playing.

Here is a summer destination wedding I photographed in Athens. The lovely couple chose the greek capital as they wanted to ensure their special day was infused with unmistakable greek flavour. Constantinos lives in Milan and Aphrodite resides in Lausanne. The couple met in the Italian capital when Aphrodite moved there to study.

The couple’s elegant and contemporary style choices were a testament to their sophisticated taste, thus making the boudoir shoot a joy to photograph, producing a series of eye-catching portraits. Photographing Aphrodite in her ethereal summer wedding dress with her beautiful smile, was an effortless delight. The greek marbles lit in the summer sun, with a plethora of historic greek backdrops to chose from, accompanied by the majestic blue of the sea provided the perfect setting to create a series of arresting bridal photographs of the couple’s special day; making it all the more memorable.  See more…

Christina and Gavin’s wedding in London was a grand affair and an absolute pleasure to photograph. With Bride’s preparation being held at Corinthia Hotel in Central London, the wedding ceremony at the beautiful St Brides Church in the City, and the reception in an exquisitely decorated private home in Chelsea, these were both such intricate venues to capture the special moments.

It is always a treat to collaborate with other wedding vendors on a styled shoot. It gives us the opportunity to showcase our skills and creativity, possibly developing an idea which germinated during an actual wedding, or by developing something new and dramatic, as with this Danson House wedding photography styled-shoot.

Venetian masquerade carnival masks were first worn around 700 years ago, with mask makers (Mascereri) being officially recognised as master craftsmen in 1436. Though an important part of Venetian society during the Renaissance, the popularity of the masquerade ball in England didn’t reach its height until the latter half of the 1700s – around the same time Danson House was built.

As Stavroula readied herself for the big moment in the family home, I caught the details of her preparations at this welcoming residence. From the moments and details to close ups of family and friends. Smiles, laughs, anticipation, excitement.
