Joanne and Lee wanted their big-day somewhere magical. They couldn’t have made a better choice for their Mykonos wedding photography than the stunning Saint John Hotel Villas & Spa near the island’s capital of Chora. Mykonos holds a special place in my heart as I have family on the island and know it well. I was delighted when the British couple asked me to be their their Mykonos photographer and to also photograph their second wedding reception in Oxfordshire, held to celebrate with family and friends who could not travel to their first ceremony.
Chora is incredibly scenic and it is also a great backdrop for doing the Mykonos wedding photography. The landmark windmills and charming area of Little Venice are so atmospheric and look wonderful in images. We were blessed with blue skies and sunshine, which made the backdrop of the whitewashed church and Agean Sea even more beautiful. The courtyard ceremony in front of the private chapel was quite touching, and the inclusion of Joanne’s young son made it as much a celebration of family as one of marriage. The luxurious Saint John hotel is one of the premier venues for a wedding in Mykonos, and the staff ensured the couple and their guests were able to relax and party long into the evening. It was the perfect way to start their new life as a family.
Thank you guys for enhancing our day, you blew us both away.
