If I could choose only one word to sum up the Greek-Cypriot wedding in London of George and Karina, it would be “elegant”. The couple’s sophisticated style was showcased perfectly not only in Karina’s choice of dresses for herself and her bridesmaids but also through the efforts of Costas Petrides from Marilyns Events, who was responsible for their wedding reception at the Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square in London.

The traditional wedding ceremony took place at the All Saints Greek Church in Camden. Karina couldn’t stop smiling as she walked down the aisle to where George eagerly awaited his bride-to-be. See more…

It was crystal clear when we met this couple to plan the photography for their wedding at Hatfield House, that they were bound for life, and that they each felt incredibly fortunate to have found the other. No filter or post-editing magic could recreate that look of absolute love!  See more…

Being a local photographer means that Sopwell House is a venue with which we are very familiar. The 4-Star country house hotel is a wonderful venue for all kinds of celebrations, with a wedding at Sopwell House always being a memorable occasion. We were, therefore, very excited when Tim and Maria asked us to provide their wedding photography and videography in this lovely location. See more…

Danielle was keen to incorporate her Cypriot heritage in her wedding to Graham, not only by holding the ceremony at the Greek Orthodox Church in Edmonton in North London but also with her preparations. As one team of photographers set up at the church, another was already photographing the bride and her family as they performed the stolisma and sent Danielle off from her family home with their blessings for the future.

The sun poured through the windows of the church, providing a natural spotlight as the couple exchanged vows before God and their families and friends, providing many excellent photo opportunities for us.

We were excited to be back at Sopwell House in St Albans for the wedding reception. The luxury country house hotel is one of our favourite wedding venues not only because the staff there are so professional, but also because the setting is so picturesque. The light cloud cover was ideal for photos in the garden, and the couple were thrilled with their portraits and the group shots we took before the partying started in earnest. See more…

The weather was perfect for Christalla and Chris’ wedding at Orsett Hall, so Chris sat outside in the sunshine while his koumbaro performed the traditional wedding-day shave. At the end of his preparations, the groom looked as smooth as James Bond in his black dinner jacket, flanked by his groomsmen as they made their way to the church. While one team was busy at Chris’ house, another was at Christalla’s, photographing her preparations which included the stolisma that is customary at a Greek Cypriot wedding. It wasn’t immediately apparent on the day but, looking back at the photos during editing, it is surprising how similar the three beautiful sisters look!

Following a Greek-Cypriot ceremony at St Demetrios Orthodox Church in Edmonton, where Father John and Father Evangelos graciously allowed us to photograph the wedding, everyone departed for the Orsett Hall wedding reception. The private gardens looked gorgeous in the sunshine, and we made the most of the setting to capture portraits of the newlyweds and group shots with their family and friends. See more…

The joyous occasion of Melissa and Daniel’s wedding took place at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral Church of All Saints in Camden. It is a church that our team knows well, being fortunate to have provided wedding photography and videography for many Greek weddings in London. I am always humbled by how welcoming the clergy are, and how much care they invest into every wedding service, supporting the couple and their families as they take this significant first significant step into a united future. It was a rainy day, but there was no dampening the excitement for Maria and Michael’s wedding in Bristol. The day was a fantastic representation not only of their love for each other but also the love and support shown by their family and friends as they took this momentous step. With Maria having Cypriot heritage, our day started at her house where we filmed the traditional stolisma, before racing over to the Greek Orthodox Church of St Peter and Paul to capture the wedding ceremony. There is nothing like a Greek Cypriot wedding to reinforce just how vital family and friends are to a couple taking their first steps into married life. Although the bride and groom are the natural focal point, everyone close to the couple plays a role in their big day from the stolisma that helps them prepare, to the active roles played by the couples’ parents, maid of honour and best man throughout the ceremony. Even the way everyone congregates into one happy party on the dancefloor is a testament to the importance of the support of family and friends. I always find it a beautiful and humbling experience to witness these bonds in my role as a wedding photographer and videographer. See more…

Dimitri and Bobbie chose to celebrate their wedding at Orsett Hall when they tied the knot. Both from Cypriot Greek families, the couple incorporated many recognisable traditions into their big day which started with the Stolisma at their respective family homes. As the bride and groom to be were getting ready at the same time, we used two teams for the wedding photography and video.

If you ever doubt that a wedding, whether a religious celebration of the sacrament of Matrimony is still relevant, then you only need to watch the highlights of this wedding. It is fair to say that See more…

As a photographer, I aim to capture the emotions conveyed by the couple as well as their guests, in order to provide an authentic and joyful interpretation of the event along with the beauty of the area. My camera is the means by which these moments are seized, preserved and immortalised. Although every wedding is genuinely unique, there are some moments and some events that truly transcend expectations, in that words would simply fail them. See more…

Island Varkiza – Wedding & Christening (updated) –

Travelling just a few kilometres outside of Athens one can encounter this immensely beautiful location; Island Varkiza. An idyllic setting where the sun never fails to shine. Pavlina and Nikos chose to have a dual celebration of their son Miltiadi’s christening and their wedding on the same day. This is a choice many people seem to prefer nowadays. The decoration in Island Varkiza venue was absolutely breathtaking thanks to the work of Krista and Maria Maroulidou from the Guest Book. Being from Crete, the beautiful couple along with their guests indulged in a traditional Greek – Cretan wedding celebration in Athens. A Cretan wedding celebration cannot be considered See more…

Any bride and groom can tell you that one of the most challenging aspects of planning a wedding is making both families happy. As much as it is “their” day, a marriage also represents the joining together of two families, and it is important to incorporate appropriate customs to respect both the bride’s and the groom’s backgrounds, as Natalie and James did when they wed in Kingston-Upon-Thames.

Natalie’s family is British-Greek Cypriot and James’ is British, and their special day was very much a fusion of each heritage. The service took place at St George Greek Orthodox Church in Kingston-Upon-Thames. The early summer weather was See more…

Let me first paint a backdrop of calm sea, bright blue sky and glorious rays of sunshine. This is the beautiful setting of Chalkidiki, Greece that was the unobtrusive witness to a weekend destination wedding celebration. A true Mediterranean marriage of Spanish and Greek family tradition and culture, allow me to introduce Korina and Juan!

Now joined together in marital harmony, Korina, originally from Greece and Juan from Spain, celebrated their beautiful destination wedding in Chalkidiki. Living in central London but with their hearts belonging not just to each other but also to the culture and laid back lifestyle of the Mediterranean cost, it was only natural that they head to Korina’s beloved home-country to say and celebrate their much awaited ‘I do’s’. Griechische Hochzeitsfotograf und Video

Every wedding shares the same intent, but because the couples and their stories are unique, no wedding is the same. As a professional photographer, I love the role of creating photos that don’t only record events but which also convey emotions and atmosphere. I was, therefore, very excited when I captured Jiota and Konstantinos’ Greek wedding in Mannheim, Germany. It is a joy that, even after so many years shooting weddings, my job never feels stale. I have photographed weddings some of the most vibrant cities, travelled to tiny fishing villages in Greece, and set up my tripod in opulent hotels around the world, but Manneheim was somewhere new for me.

Konstantinos and Jiota had a very clear vision of the types of photos they wanted. The first half of their wedding album is full of familiar images of the bride and groom preparing at their family homes before exchanging vows in a traditional ceremony. In this instance, it was St Marien Griechisch Orthodoxe Kirchen at Ludwigshafen. The second part of the album, however, has a different feel. See more…

The wedding of Florentia & Dimitris was extremely modern in that it spanned several countries. The Greek couple lives in the UAE but wanted their wedding in Paros which is one of the most beautiful Cyclades Islands. Their plan was absolute music to my ears because, although I live in the UK, Greece is my homeland and somewhere I love to be. Planning wedding over multiple countries and timezones has the potential for complications. Still, Florentia and Dimitris are such as fantastic couple, and I know the area so well that I knew the wedding photos would be perfect. See more…

When both the bride and groom come from a Greek Cypriot background, you know the celebrations will not be quiet, and guests invited to attend Andrea and Adam’s wedding at Twelve Apostles Greek church certainly got into the spirit. Even though I was with the couple from the time they were preparing until well into the night, the happiness generated by the couple, their family and friends infused me with energy and made it an enjoyable experience for me as well.
