It was a rainy day, but there was no dampening the excitement for Maria and Michael’s wedding in Bristol. The day was a fantastic representation not only of their love for each other but also the love and support shown by their family and friends as they took this momentous step. With Maria having Cypriot heritage, our day started at her house where we filmed the traditional stolisma, before racing over to the Greek Orthodox Church of St Peter and Paul to capture the wedding ceremony.
The reception took place in the magnificent Bristol Harbour Hotel & Spa. The breathtaking Sansovino Hall provided the ideal indoor backdrop for the post-ceremony wedding shots. At the same time, Michael and Maria’s guests enjoyed welcome drinks and canapes in an adjacent room. As impressive as the reception venue is – and it truly is gorgeous – it paled in comparison to the joy and happiness generated by this couple, their family and friends as they celebrated with plenty of dancing and laughter.
So many couples worry about rain on their wedding day and, while we know it isn’t ideal, working with professionals who always have a plan B (and usually a plan C) means that it will never spoil their happy day. Bristol is a fantastic city for a wedding, and I am grateful to Maria and Michael for entrusting us for their wedding videography at Bristol Harbour Hotel.
