St Albans

Danielle was keen to incorporate her half Cypriot background and heritage in her wedding to Graham, not only by holding the ceremony at the Greek orthodox church in Edmonton but also with her preparations. As one team of us set up at the church, another was already capturing the bride and her family as they performed the Cypriot stolisma and sent Danielle off from her family home with their blessings for the future.

The sun poured through the windows of the church, providing a natural spotlight as the couple exchanged vows before God and their families and friends, providing many excellent shooting opportunities for us.

We were excited to be back in Herts for the reception. The luxury country house hotel is one of our favourite venues not only because the staff there are so professional, but also because the setting is so picturesque. The light cloud cover was ideal for shots in the garden, and the couple were thrilled with their portraits and the group shots we took before the partying started in earnest. See more…

Hers is Alex and Andriana’s image gallery and wedding videography at Sopwell House. The couple chose the beautiful and rural Twelve Apostles Church for their traditional Cypriot ceremony before celebrating with their guests a few miles away at the luxurious Sopwell House. The entire event went like clockwork, giving us the sort of day we dream of.

The 12 Apostles Church is a favourite with Cypriot brides and grooms who want a classic English country wedding. The former Anglican church sits peacefully in its parkland setting, looking as if part of the set for a film like Four Weddings and a Funeral. The exterior may be English, but the interior is See more…

There was much to delight my photographic eye when Katerina and David married as they asked me to provide their wedding photography at St Albans Register Office. The couple exchanged vows in front of family and friends in a wedding at the Register Office, and the ceremony was both intimate and beautiful. Katerina was a picture-perfect bride in her retro-style 1950s wedding dress with David, in his stylish blue suit, acting as the perfect foil to her ethereal beauty. See more…

I love the sense of drama that the holiday season adds to a wedding. These special days are beautiful in their own right, but when you add the colours and sparkle of Christmas together with a magnificent setting it makes it a great pleasure. Gina had her heart set on marrying in St Albans Cathedral and Abbey and was happy to wait for a date to become available. This cathedral holds particular significance for christians as it is where Britain’s first saint, Alban, is buried. Despite its size, the abbey is a warm and welcoming space, holding not only Church of England services, but also Catholic, Russian Orthodox and Lutheran ones. Gina and Graham could not have made a better choice for their big day. See more…

V and I knew their wedding day, which we were the professionals for and which you can see here, was going to be as much about the bringing together of their Greek-Cypriot and Indian families as it was about celebrating their marriage. Having an engagement session was a great opportunity for them to put aside the stress of wedding planning and simply enjoy being together.

The couple was a joy to work with. We took these images in Verulamium Park in St Albans, and around some landmarks of this Hertfordshire’s historic city.  See more…
