Danielle was keen to incorporate her Cypriot heritage in her wedding to Graham, not only by holding the ceremony at the Greek Orthodox Church in Edmonton in North London but also with her preparations. As one team of photographers set up at the church, another was already photographing the bride and her family as they performed the stolisma and sent Danielle off from her family home with their blessings for the future.
The sun poured through the windows of the church, providing a natural spotlight as the couple exchanged vows before God and their families and friends, providing many excellent photo opportunities for us.
We were excited to be back at Sopwell House in St Albans for the wedding reception. The luxury country house hotel is one of our favourite wedding venues not only because the staff there are so professional, but also because the setting is so picturesque. The light cloud cover was ideal for photos in the garden, and the couple were thrilled with their portraits and the group shots we took before the partying started in earnest.
Despite their lack of Greek blood, Graham and his new father-in-law held their own on the dance-floor, impressing all the guests with their technique to the sounds of Nostalgia Greek Band. Danielle had booked some traditional Greek-Cypriot dancers who inspired everyone with their energetic dancing, and the dancefloor was full long into the night. It was a fantastic day and a fun-filled evening – exactly the start to married life that this young couple deserves. Congratulations!
