The youthful energy of the guests at a bar or bat mitzvah is always a lot of fun, and it is enjoyable watching families celebrate together, sharing loving bonds in a tradition that is thousands of years old.

We started the day with some individual shots of Osher, who looked endearingly proud if slightly self-conscious in his suit and hat, showing signs of the man he will become. He is the oldest boy in a family with seven children, and we took the opportunity to do individual photos of all the siblings. It is always lovely to have images of children at different stages of their lives – not only at a handful of milestone events – and something parents and grandparents appreciate enormously.

Whatever the event, we always look for those candid moments, the unscripted shots which capture the emotion of the day and show subjects at their most natural. A special thank you to Osher’s mother for allowing us to play a role in this momentous occasion. They made us feel extremely welcome, and we enjoyed our experience of the day. Mazel tov!
